Frozen Chicken Steaks

Storing and Thawing
Keep steaks frozen until ready to use. When defrosting for use:
- Thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
- Thaw only the amount needed for the next day.
- Use a container that is designated for raw pet food.
- (There may be liquid at the bottom of the container when it thaws; this is normal).
If you forget to defrost ahead of time, you can "flash" defrost by placing the steaks in a ziplock bag and submerging them in COLD water for 30-45 minutes.

If this is your first time using Stella & Chewy’s, transition your cat slowly. Mix the new food with the old food product for 5-7 days (gradually increasing amount).
Any food not eaten within 30 minutes of offering should be discarded. Wash your pet's bowl with hot, soapy water after each feeding.
Handling Guidelines for Safe Use
Some raw food products may contain bacteria that could cause illness to you or the animals you are feeding if mishandled. For your protection, follow these instructions for safest use. Keep frozen until ready to use. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces, utensils (including cutting boards, preparation and feeding bowls), hands, and any other items that touch or contact raw meat or poultry with hot soapy water. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard. Always wash your hands after cleaning your pet's waste; this includes litter boxes.
