Homemade Dog Treat and Biscuit Recipes

Stop spending your money on dog biscuits full of processed ingredients and fillers that aren't healthy for your dog – try these simple, homemade limited ingredient dog treat and biscuit recipes instead! Making your own dog treats is simple and easy, plus an excellent way to make sure that dogs with sensitive tummies and/or food allergies are getting wholesome nutrients that won't cause digestive upset.

Peanut Butter & Bone Broth Biscuit

Does your pup like peanut butter? Then this is the recipe to try! Just make sure to use all-natural peanut butter with no hidden ingredients, such as xylitol, an artificial sweetener that is toxic to dogs. Combined Stella & Chewy's Bountiful Bone Broth, these goodies are sure to have your dog coming back for more.

Ingredients:
  • ½ Cup All-Natural Peanut Butter (xylitol free!)
  • 1 cup Whole Wheat or Oat Flour
  • ⅓ – ½ Cup Bountiful Bone Broth

Baking Directions:
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grab a large mixing bowl and combine the all-natural peanut butter and bone broth.
  3. Mix in the whole wheat flour ¼ to ⅓ cup at a time until you’ve added it all and the dough is mixed well.
  4. Take the dough out of the bowl and use your hands to form it into a large ball.
  5. Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough and use cookie cutters to cut out shapes. We suggest a dog bone cookie cutter, but any others will work great.
  6. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or non-stick cookie sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes.
  7. Once cool, feed to your dog nd watch them enjoy!

Gluten-Free Peanut Butter, Banana, & Oat Treats

Just like Elvis, our dogs can also love peanut butter and bananas! This recipe offers a healthy, gluten-free way to treat your dog with just a few simple, wholesome ingredients. Plus, bananas are fat free and high in many nutrients such as fiber, Potassium, Magnesium, Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, and antioxidants, making them an awesome occasional snack for your furry friend!

Ingredients:
  • ¼ Cup All-Natural Peanut Butter
  • 1 Ripe Banana (Mashed)
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil (Melted)
  • 2 Cups Oats

Baking Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Use a blender or food processor to blend the oats into a flour consistency.
  3. In a bowl, combine the peanut butter, banana, and coconut oil.
  4. Stir in the oat flour and knead dough until well mixed.
  5. Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough and use cookie cutters to cut out shapes. Again, we suggest a dog bone cookie cutter, but any others will work great.
  6. Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet or non-stick cookie sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden.
  7. Once cool, feed to your dog and watch them enjoy!

Nut-Free Chicken Bone Broth Biscuits

Is your dog allergic to nuts? No worries! This recipe is a great way to reward your pup without a reaction.

Ingredients:

Baking Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients into a dough. (*Note: Additional Chicken Bone Broth can be added as needed for moisture.)
  3. Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough and use cookie cutters to cut out shapes. Again, we suggest a dog bone cookie cutter, but any others will work great.
  4. Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet or non-stick cookie sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Once cool, feed to your dog and watch them enjoy!

Recipe Substitutions

With any of the recipes listed above, you can replace the whole wheat flour with coconut flour (¼ cup coconut flour for every 1 cup whole wheat flour) to provide your pup with a grain-free goodie. Keep in mind that when using coconut flour, you may need to add extra moisture via bone broth or water.
