About PetPeople

PetPeople was founded in 2000 by Mike and Trish Elkind. They were always on the lookout for food, products and supplies worthy of their two fur babies, Cody and Bear. They soon saw an opportunity to offer other pet parents the kind of high-quality, natural options they preferred, opening three PetPeople stores in Columbus, Ohio. They now have 72 stores in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, and Kansas in addition to Ohio.

Equal parts neighborhood gathering place and smart retail store, PetPeople is all about helping dogs and cats thrive. It is the neighborhood place for natural foods and quality supplies for dogs and cats. Their team of pet enthusiasts entertains and educates to create a unique shopping experience by engaging customers through sharing ideas and providing solutions. In addition to pet products, they offer grooming and self service dog wash.

PetPeople's favorite Stella & Chewy's products are Freeze Dried Meal Mixers, Red Meat Raw Blend Kibble and Frozen Raw Dinner Patties. These are their favorites because these items help their associates and their customers maintain a healthy diet for their pets.

PetPeople is dedicated to their local communities. They have several campaigns that allow them to donate directly to local shelters and rescues in the areas that they service.

• Hearts for Paws is an annual fundraising event that happens every February. It is an opportunity for their caring customers to purchase a “Heart”. 100% of every Hearts for Paws donation stays local by going to each store’s designated charity.
• PetPeople Holiday Pet Rescue Supply Drive kicks off just after Thanksgiving every year, is a chance for everyone to step up for pets in need. The stores work with a local charity to gather food, supplies and other basics to help them support the animals in their care.
• Every summer their Give Paws event allows people to not only give support to their local pet community but show it, too, by purchasing a stylish Give Paws t-shirt. 100% of the profits from the t-shirt purchase go to animal shelters and rescues right their local neighborhood.
• There’s always a need for food at pet rescues and shelters. PetPeople donates thousands of pounds of wholesome and natural pet food every year to support the vital work that local pet rescues and shelters provide.
