Feeding Guidelines

Store in freezer. When ready to feed, thaw in refrigerator in original packaging. May take 24-36 hours to thaw completely. Once thawed, cut package along 3 sides to open (using caution as our food is nice & juicy!); place food and broth into a resealable container, use a fork to break up food into consistent texture and ensure broth is well mixed. Portion daily as needed. Keep remaining food refrigerated & stored in a sealed container. Food should be used within 5 days of thawing. Serve as a complete & balanced meal for adult dogs or topper for all dogs using guidelines below. Optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size, neuter status, breed & activity level. Fresh water should be available at all times.

Transitioning

Sudden changes in diet, including overfeeding, can sometimes result in digestive issues. Always introduce any new food by slowly mixing with your current diet for the first 7-10 days, increasing the amount of Stella & Chewy’s while decreasing the amount of the other brand.

Stella and Chewy's Fresh Made food has the best ingredients I've ever seen in a dog food, even a human grade one like this. The short ingredient list is very impressive. It made me feel good about what I was giving my boys. You could actually see the vegetables and it didn't smell like any dog food I've bought before. We have a super picky, Italian greyhound, who is very selective on what he likes to eat. When it came to Stella and Chewy’s fresh made gobbling good gently cook dog food, It was love at first bite for him. Both he and our lab mix enjoyed their first taste of Stella and Chewy’s, and they even licked the bowl clean when finished. There wasn’t a piece of evidence left behind once they were done. as a dog owner. It feels good to be able to give my dogs food that is nourishing to their bodies as well as good to them.

I split the package between our senior Pit Bull and an adult Old English bulldog. They gobbled it up real quick! They are my no means picky eaters so I am sure whichever flavor of Stella & Chewy's FreshMade Cooked dog food I try next they will love. I bought my package from Pet Supplies Plus, which is across the street so that was real convenient too.

My Pups love the juicy broth and Turkey goodness! I love the fact that’s it’s human grade quality food for them. Includes vegetables and if for any reason you have leftovers, you can store in the fridge for later. It still hasn’t happened to us because they lick everything off their plate or bowl. Super convenient for me… just thaw and serve. Win/win.

This was my first time trying a Stella & Chewy product, and well, let’s just say that “Gobblin’ Good” is an appropriate name because my dogs gobbled it right up! My two picky eaters (they normally wait all day to eat their breakfast) scarfed two portions of this down in under a minute each and then licked the bowl afterwards. It was a big hit! If I had any criticism to give at all, it would be that the packaging doesn’t specify appropriate portion sizes. The information was easy to find online, but I’m hoping that eventually they’ll update the packaging to include it there too.

My dogs loved this. However I can't justify spending $11 on this. I have two small dogs (about 15lbs) and this was only two meals for them. Id rather spend money on fresh chicken and veggies and make my own food.

If you put a fresh thanksgiving dinner of turkey, sweet potatoes, kale, apples and other good stuff in a food processor, it would look and smell like this dog food. You can see the individual ingredients so it’s not like a mush of foods. It has density and firmness. I have 50 lb border collie. I fed him 1/4 of a package mixed with his dry food. He literally gobbled this up even though he doesn’t like greens. It’s something I feel good about giving him. Once opened I put in a zippered baggie to keep fresh. It is on the pricier side similar to other fresh dog foods. The other option is to make his food myself but honestly that’s not going to happen.
