Feeding Guidelines

Store in freezer. When ready to feed, thaw in refrigerator in original packaging. May take 24-36 hours to thaw completely. Once thawed, cut package along 3 sides to open (using caution as our food is nice & juicy!); place food and broth into a resealable container, use a fork to break up food into consistent texture and ensure broth is well mixed. Portion daily as needed. Keep remaining food refrigerated & stored in a sealed container. Food should be used within 5 days of thawing. Serve as a complete & balanced meal or topper using guidelines below. Optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size, neuter, status, breed & activity level. Fresh water should be available at all times.

Transitioning

Sudden changes in diet, including overfeeding, can sometimes result in digestive issues. Always introduce any new food by slowly mixing with your current diet for the first 7-10 days, increasing the amount of Stella & Chewy’s while decreasing the amount of the other brand.

Immediately upon opening, both myself and my greyhound were hit with a very good aroma - like fresh fish. I always mix wet products with kibble and she was antsy the entire time I prepared her dish. Once the bowl was in her stand and she was released to eat, she immediately picked out the FreshMade bits first. I would interpret this to mean it is a winner because and also because she licked our her bowl several times after her meal. She can have a touchy tummy and there were no issues experienced. I will definitely purchase this again.

My dog LOVED this! Got to serve as a topper on his freeze dried and kibble mix to add a bit more variety to his diet. Typically he waits to eat his food for a couple of minutes after I set the bowl down (stalks it from afar lol!), but not with this! He ran to his food and ate immediately. I was a little worried that the newness of this might upset his stomach a bit, but no issues at all!.
