We received a small bag of the Wild Red Raw Ocean Recipe that is grain and legume free to test. I didn't fully transition my pups to it but instead used it as a food topper. I have 2 mini poodles and they both loved it. My 9 year old ate this out of his bowl then left his regular food. I only gave a little taste to my 4 month old but he ate it like they were treats. The only side effect I noticed was that they had some gas after eating this, however they usually have chicken as a protein so it could have been just the change in ingredients. My vet has advised against grain free foods so I probably will not repurchase this but they do have a whole grains version I might try.

As soon as I opened the package, my dog started hopping around begging for it. It smells like fish (because that's literally what it is) so I don't know how I'm going to hide it from him. The kibble is about 1/2 the size of regular kibble pieces. They aren't as powdery as normal kibble either. The protein content is high at 30%! It's wonderful to come across a food for my dog that doesn't have fillers. It's just fish! I will definitely be buying this again!

I was gifted this in exchange for my review. I honestly thought that it was cat food and I don’t have a dog, so I gave it to my mom and her dogs loved it! I was unsure about a fish flavored food for dogs, but her dogs really did seem to like it. This looks to be a really high quality, grain free dog food. The ingredients look well thought out and with no extra junk or filler that’s so bad for animals. My mom said that she would definitely look for this brand to repurchase.

My Dogs LIke It... but

I think Wild Red Raw Coated Ocean Recipe kibble is good quality food. This is the first bag I purchased. My dogs like it. Here is the issue: the kibbles are TINY! About 5mm diameter. I work my dogs everyday, and they work for their food. It is impossible to use this kibble as reward--it spills everywhere, and you cannot throw it. The only way I can train with this kibble is by placing it in a Treat and Train, which is not always convenient. The image on the outside of the bag depicts the kibble at least 5x larger than it is, if not more. There is nothing on the nag that labels it for small dogs.
No, I do not recommend this product.

As a foster pet mom I make sure I have the best for when fosters arrive and I am very happy with the quality of ingredients in this dog food. Fosters sometimes need extra care and this checks all the boxes when it comes to quality nutrition.

Thank you Influenster and Stella & Chewy’s for the complimentary product. My golden is pretty picky when it comes to to dry food but she immediately started eating Wild Red salmon flavor. This food is packed with protein, probiotics, glucosamine and antioxidants for healthy gut, bones and coat. My dog gets bored easily with one flavor so I like to change her flavors and Wild Red has a lot of different flavors. This food is healthy and good quality which is important to me.

My dog immediately started smelling this even in the box. Once I pulled it out he was very interested. I served him a small bowl for dinner tonight and he ate it all immediately. It really seemed like he wanted more and he can be pretty picky. Looking at the ingredients, I like that these are all natural and things that I would eat as a part of my diet with very few additives. It makes me feel good about feeding it to Tails.
