Sea-Licious Salmon & Cod Freeze-Dried Raw Dinner Morsels

After rescuing my two kitties from a hoarding situation, both were severely under weight both were about half the weight they should be, in the beginning I tried different foods only for them to loose interest that is until I found Stella & chewys, the freeze dried food was easy to feed by following the simple directions for wetting the food on the package after feeding this and other Stella and Chewy freeze dried products. At the vet check I was delighted to hear their vet reported they gained the proper percentage of lean muscle mass and lean fat reserves. Both have reached and are maintaining their healthy weight, their coats are full, shinny and soft, eyes bright, teeth white. They are both well behaved happy and full of energy. As their kitty Mom I'm very pleased with Stella and Chewys

My cat had a couple bites of this and then wouldnt eat the rest (she is really not a picky eater either). However, the quality of the ingredients in this product are good and it was easy to make and did not smell bad.

When I first got my cat she ate anything without complaint, including these. Over about a decade she has become very picky! But she still loves these and the chicken flavor too. More than the Nulo and Instinct freeze-dried add-ons, even. She eats them mixed into her other dry food and still seems to be a big fan after all this time, and I like knowing she's getting nutrients her regular dry food is probably short on.

A pet nutritionist suggested that these morsels be crushed sprinkled as a topper when cats will not their food. So, not only can it be used as a whole meal, it works like a charm to get picky cats to find interest in their food. I have several cats and they all love anything Stella and chewy freeze-dried. It’s freeze-dried but not a hunk of inedibly hard meat. This flavor is enticing enough to mask the taste/smell of one cat’s meds. She’s terrible to dose orally so having the ability to mix the capsule contents into her food makes it so much easier.

Gave this flavor to my cat first as he is a huge seafood lover. He seemed to like the smell of it, but just took a couple small nibbles before walking away. He did come back to it a little later and nibbles some more but just for a moment. It’s like he wanted to like it and it just wasn’t working for him. It’s wasn’t a texture thing, he eats dry food, canned food and canned tuna with no issues. I’m guessing he liked the smell but the flavor just wasn’t working for him. Every cat is different so I would recommend trying it, your cat just might like it. Don’t think mine did.

My cats love this, I forgot it on the counter and found that they tore up the bag to get to these! They have never done that before with any food!

Excellent product, my kitties are very picky with their wet food and since I stared adding this product on their wet food they devour it.

My tuxedo gobbles up these morsels soaked in a bit of water. I can even hide medicine in there, which is the true test!

I have 2 Bengal cats who absolutely love this freeze dried raw food. My cats are both picky and this is the only raw food I’ve been able to get them to eat. I believe that a raw diet is optimal for cats since it mimics how they eat in the wild. I’m not able to use this as my main source of cat food because it would be too expensive. But I use it as treats and sprinkle a few on top of their other food each day. They love getting the treats and I feel good about the added nutrition. My cats like eating them dry, but you can also moisten with water.

Our kitty loves this food (also the chicken-salmon flavor) as a dry crumbled food alongside a bowl of water - and also as her FAVORITE toy-treat (she will NOT eat other cat treats). She loves batting these around the kitchen or carrying a nugget in her mouth to drop somewhere, only to bat it around again. She eventually eats the nugget and begs (!!) for another.

This ingredient is 1/3rd of Mimi's 3-course meal, and she loves it. I'm so glad I found this freeze dried raw fish morsels, as they're easy to crush and incorporate into her twice-daily meals. It's a great additive for any cat's meal, and when hydrating it, it adds a good amount of water to her diet, daily. Bravo Stella & Chewy's!

I started my cat on this food a little after she turned a year old. I was feeding her Purina Pro Plan as a kitten and she did great on it. When we transitioned to adult food is when she started getting issues with her tummy and really bad tear staining. I tried several different brands and nothing helped. I took a chance and made a sudden change to Stella and Chewy's and all her tummy issues went away! Her tear staining cleared up in a few days. I even noticed a positive change in the quality of her fur. This website is the only place I can buy the Salmon and Cod flavor in an 18oz bag. She was going through the 8oz bag in a little under 2 weeks - she's 11lbs (maine coon mix) for reference. So that's pretty pricey if you're used to dry kibble but the proof is in the results.

Fan of a lot of Stella & Chewy products, but their freeze dried offerings are my favorite out of their lineup. High quality top tier food option. Sure, it’s HPP but superior to other formats other than raw. Freeze dried is also super convenient for travel, can be crushed up and sprinkled as a little topper, or even used as a treat. I always do this with freeze dried but especially for cats, I make sure to moisten to help with overall hydration. My cat favors really fishy flavors so this was a hit!

Easy to prepare and mix in with food, although they do seem to be a bit rich for my indoor sensitive tummied cat. I'll continue to use every now and then to use and would recommend to others, but I won't be repurchasing my cat.

Our kitties love freeze dried food, however we have struggled finding one that they all like the flavor of. This one does it - all three kitties love it and eat it right up! This is quite a challenge with my picky bunch!

I picked this up for my cats to try.I was a little nervous about mixing in enough water, I didn't want my cats to get stomach aches or constipated. But all worked out, the cats really liked the food and had no problems

Our babies tried these but didn’t not care for them. They are not use to eating the freeze dried so that could be a factor. It was worth trying and see. It did not have a strong odor and was easy to feed.

I buy these as a topper for my cats food, one a treat when I need to cut their nails, groom them etc. They love the fishy smell and get excited whenever I open the bag. I only feed my cats raw diet, usually frozen, so having a freeze dried topper is a nice treat for them. It's also great to have on hand to rehydrate for the days when I forget to thaw their food before mealtime, or for the pet sitter to feed when going out of town.

This freeze dried cat food is an easy way to give your cat moist food without the cans or mess. Basically you reconstitute the food with half the amount of water as there is food. Let it sit for a minute then stir. My 19 year old cat loved it, but at his age I only let him have a spoonful so he wouldn’t throw up. This is a great idea for those that feed their cats moist food - less mess, easy to travel with, and great nutrition.

This is one of two flavors my finicky cat will eat (the other flavor is Salmon-Chicken). No other brand has been approved by her either. It's these 2 flavors or she would nearly starve herself. Thankfully this brand is incredibly healthy for her; she's 7 years old and has the vitality and mischief of a kitty much younger than. Her coat is beautiful and soft, her eyes are clear and bright. Highly recommend S&C.

This was the second bag of Stella & Chewy's that I bought when switching my cat's diet and I have never gone back. My cat doesn't like it mixed with water. She prefers when I crumble them with my fingers and leave a separate bowl of water for her to drink throughout the day. The turkey version is her favorite. She starts meowing and as soon as I place it down she eats it all up. Definitely recommend!

At first, I didn’t realize that you had to get these wet and my cat wouldn’t touch them. Once we figure them out, she absolutely loves him. He had them to her Neil a couple times a week. The bag doesn’t feel like much because it’s freeze dry but there’s actually quite a bit in there. It’s lasting is quite a while. I know cats like seafood, but fish based cat food never smells good.

I have been using Stella and Chewy’s raw frozen cat food for a long time and was really interested to try the freeze-dried version. Stella and Chewy’s uses really great ingredients and have everything you want for a raw food diet for your kitty. My three cats have given their paw of approval and eat this up very quickly! Honestly, it seems like they like this freeze-dried version better than the frozen! When I open the package, they start pawing at the kitchen cabinets because it smells so good to them. Now, it says it rehydrates in 5 minutes, but I have found that it needs 20 minutes or so to not have any dry parts left at all – so plan ahead! I think you might be able to feed it dry, but kitties need their food to be moist to stay healthy. We have tried three flavors so far and they like them all equally, I can’t tell if there is one they like more in particular. The salmon and cod is a winner at our house!

We changed our adopted kitty's diet from dry kibble to this food nearly 2 years ago and she had no problem transitioning. She LOVES this food - although prefers it dry with a water fountain nearby to wash it down. The ChickChicken variety and Salmon Chicken she loves equally as well. All of these flavors give her vitality and energy. She runs ZOOMIES several times a day!
