Red Meat Recipe with Pumpkin & Quinoa Raw Blend Baked Kibble with Grains

My husband and I rescued a Pomsky about 5 months ago and wanted to switch him to a better quality food. We initially tried transitioning him to another big name dog food but it was horrible. Even though we were doing a VERY slow transition he was not adjusting well at all. After sometime of letting his stomach heal we decided to try Stella & Chewy’s Raw Blend with Grains. The transition was so easy this time with no issues! He loves his food and I’ve started to notice less stomach issues with is such a relief as he has super sensitive stomach!

I reluctantly had to transition my dog from food that was discontinued a few years ago. This was the most comparable product in terms of nutrition and quality sourcing. I have been pleased with the product feeding both the with grain and grain free versions.

We have tried Diamond Natural, Wellness, Royal Canin, Hill's, Purina Pro Plan - our dog picked at all if these and quit eating these after a few bags. We are on the second bag and she gobbles this food up. Looking promising!

I have 3 dogs 2 loved it and the 3rd who is VERY picky liked it for about a week then we had to add more of the raw pieces to his and take away from the other 2. Didn't seem like there were enough of the raw pieces in the bag. Planning to rotate others for the picky one. Love the ingredients, wish it was cheaper and maybe a larger bag ?30# I feel like I'm always at the store but at least it's fresh ! Right.

We have a 6 yr old 15lb terrier/poodle mix. She never had a problem with eating kibble or any other type of dog food before. Only until recently (about a month ago) she stopped eating her kibble. We did the tough love method of no special treats or the occasional table scrap, just putting down her bowl with the kibble she had always eaten before. Nothing. She would prefer to go hungry than eat her kibble. We then tried other brands - the expensive and affordable ones - just ended up with several bags of food to donate to a local shelter. After this, we tried wet/canned dog food. Still nothing. We ended up making her homemade food - ground Turkey with brown rice and veggies, salmon with brown rice and veggies. She ate it all. We took her to the vet for check-up - they checked her teeth/mouth and did blood work. There was nothing wrong with her internally and all her teeth were in great condition. Vet recommended trying refrigerated dog foods because those are similar to homemade food but with the added nutrients a dog needs. While she was eating the food we would make her, her stools were soft and occasionally runny. So we knew there was something missing in her homemade food diet. We looked into vet nutritionist recipes and it was overwhelming. It’s not impossible to do, but requires a lot of consistency and patience to find and maintain the right recipe for your dogs needs. So we tried refrigerated dog food that we found at Target. She ate it. The only concern we had is that this type of food didn’t last long after opening (texture changed in the span of two-three days) and it always seems to be out of stock at PetSmart and Target. We were still in search of something better - higher quality, less yucky fillers, packed with necessary nutrients. We went on dog forums and found that several people kept mentioning Stella & Chewy and that even the pickiest eater would dive right into their bowl to eat this. We looked up the brand online, read through the ingredients list and about the production method. We found out that our local Pet Food Express is the only store that carries a wide assortment of Stella & Chewy products. We were eager to giver this a try and also a bit nervous because we had never given her raw blend (freeze dried) anything. We purchased the raw blend wholesome grains red meat recipe. That same day we started incorporating small portions into her meal, she was finally eating kibble again! She is now 100% on this bag of food. She eats a small amount in the early morning and a small amount during dinner time. Her stools are of the right consistency and she seems more lively. Our plan now is to keep her on Stella & Chewy long-term. So far she’s continuing to enjoy it and we haven’t noticed any negative effects. The only issue we have is that there aren’t a lot of the bigger freeze dried pieces. We have to shake the bag to try and get at least one of these pieces. For the price (we paid $27) we wish there would be more of these pieces incorporated into the kibble. Other than that, we don’t have any other issues with the product. Hope this helps any pet parent out there looking for a new brand of food/alternatives.

I swear I have the pickiest of pups to the point it took me buying and trying 7 different foods until I found one she would eat. Upon purchasing Stella & Chewy's Raw Blend Red Meat Recipe, she would get excited for meal time and waits by the bag daily for her food. I couldn't be happier!

We tried many brands of foods and saw Stella and Chewy's Raw Blend and decided to try it. No chicken because of alkergies but the mix of red meat. To our delight she loved it especially the little dried raw bits which she eats first. We are so happy that she has food that she enjoys.

My finicky dog (bichonpoo) eats this and licks the bowl at feeding time. Admittedly, most of the time we add a little ground beef or parmesan cheese to help get her started. Sometimes she'll eat without adding anything. Her energy has been good since we switched.

I have found that my dog does best on this brand and I really like this flavor for him. It has kibble plus freeze dried raw and pumpkin in it. I also like that it has glucosamine and chondroitin included in the formula. Nothing but the best for my spoiled dog.

My dog, Pico, continues to love the red meat blend with ancient grains! He's very picky but he really enjoys this food and I love watching him crunch on it. :-) It also seems to help his stools be a normal, firm consistency.

My dog loves this food! She really likes the freeze dried pieces and goes crazy when I sprinkle a little magic dust on top. The price is high but it’s worth it to keep my dog healthy and happy.

My dog is very picky and he loves the freeze dried morsels (I just wish you added more morsels). He loves eating the kibbles mixed with boiled chicken/veggies and sometimes just dry kibbles.

My dog Pico can be a little finicky but he adores the red meat kibble w/grains, especially the larger pieces that are mixed in! I'm grateful to finally find a dry food he loves!
